The Osprey doesn't disassemble for cleaning.but what I find to be great about it is that the serial # is on it's booster housing- not the suppressor tube itself.

The weight of a centerfire suppressor on a handgun gets old pretty quick- it seriously slows down your ability to transition between targets. The Ti-Rants construction/components make it fairly light.which means that follow-up shots are easier and quicker to make. Many people don't think that centerfire pistol cans get dirty.but they do- and it does degrade performance over time. I have to agree that being able to take-down ANY silencer to clean out all of the filthy crud from it's baffle stack is nice. Both of these are very important to some people. The Ti-Rant is a traditional can.it can be disassembled and cleaned. I run an SWR Trident-9 with LCD mount.but if I were going to buy a suppressor these days, I'd go for the Silencerco Osprey or AAC Ti-Rant. The blackjack buffer really helps to soften that loud action noise, while the heavier recoil spring helps the weapon's slide to stay shut longer.thereby allowing more gas to be filtered/muffled through the actual silencer rather than to escape out of the action. If you have one of the modern 92s or commercial variant M9s like I do, try using an 18-20lb recoil spring and "Blackjack polymer buffer".
